My name is Rohan Jain and I’m a senior here at Marshall and an IB Diploma candidate. I have been involved in Model United Nations since 7th grade. Last year, I served in the steering committee as the Under-Secretary-General for Policy. I enjoy thinking of solutions to world problems and debating global issues. Outside of Model UN, I am the President of the Current Events Club, a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, and a Boy Scout. I also play tennis and am on the varsity tennis team. My hobbies include politics and watching Nationals games. Glad to be on this year’s steering committee!

Hey, my name is Shivane Anand and I will be your Assistant Secretary General for Program. This is my 3rd year of HS MUN. I am a senior and I am currently pursuing the IB Diploma. Ever since freshman year MUN has allowed my love for politics and policy to grow, and I hope that in the near future I am happy working somewhere that I know I will thrive. I am a huge sports guy. I watch any sport on TV, and I also play many sports. But the one that has stayed with me since I was 4 is Golf. At Marshall I am Captain of the Varsity Golf Team. I have played on Marshall for 3 years now and the experience is unforgettable just like MUN. If I’m not on the course or getting ready for a conference, you can find me cheering on Manchester City in the Premier League. I look forward to making your first MUN experiences unforgettable just like mine!

Hi everyone, my name is Akshay Choksi and I am a senior at Marshall High School. I have been doing MUN for 4 years now and look forward to help organize this year’s conference. Besides MUN, I play lacrosse, tutor through various honor societies, and participate in a fair amount of college resume padding clubs. This year I plan on graduating with the IB diploma and pursue engineering in college. Although it may not seem so, the skills learned through MUN will no doubt be useful in any field you choose to study, so you should definitely continue it throughout high school. Lastly, we have worked tirelessly to ensure an exceptional conference, and we hope you all enjoy it!

Along with my involvement in climate justice organizations such as the US Youth Climate Strike and my participation in debate and model un at my high school, i have a profound passion for politics. Outside of MUN, I swim year round, I play the clarinet in my high school’s marching band, and I am apart of the leadership for the Best Buddies club at my school.
